His Space

We wrapped up our His Space series today. A series that looked at how to change My Space into His Space. I think this series has been very relevant to our lives today because it took a fresh angle on how to live the Christian life in today's world. LIke Steve said today, we're to live in the world...not away from it.

So I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the series. What spoke to you the most? What have you taken away and applied to your life? How has God changed you through this series? I'd love to hear your feedback! Just leave your comment(s) and feel free to respond to someone else's thoughts. Let's open up the discussion!

i think it's been a good comparison to not only the change of Jesus coming into our hearts, but the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that keeps us in Jesus' top 8.

yeah, i thought the practical things of hands, feet, eyes, and ears were very helpful in showing how effective that change can be in our lives. if you think about it, we hold the key to allowing MySpace to become HisSpace by the decisions we make.

i loved the series. i know everyone struggles with temptation. this series made me understand that i do not have to be defeated. i have his power and grace to be an overcomer. if he said in his word that we have it then we have it. we are free to choose. this concept of choosing was like a light bulb going off. we are already free, so why act as if we are in chains! He loves us so much that we are free to live life abundantly.

i had a really great conversation with someone about the supremacy of God. we discussed how can a spirit be conceptualized, and how can humans attribute physical things to a spiritual God. i think HisSpace is a great metaphor to show the link between the physical and spiritual. i shall research the word 'metaphysical'.

i think the HisSpace series did a great job linking the physical and spiritual. God has been linking the physical and spiritual together since the beginning of our existences. just think, we were created out of physical stuff, but only through God's holy, spiritual breath. He pursues us so hard using physical and spiritual things because of his unconditional love for us. then, at just the right time, He sent his son to die a physical death to give us eternal, spirtual life. i believe that this is why we can offer him physical things in His name....because we take afer our Father.
